Come again Jesus Bring us Peace so we can heal Peace for a world torn by war Divided by distrust Hurt by violence   Come again Jesus Bring us Justice so we can speak Justice for those on the edge of society Oppressed by the powerful Lost to themselves   Come again Jesus Bring us Wisdom so we can teach Wisdom to guide our lives To empower those who lead To bring your word to those who need it   Come again Jesus Bring us Love so we can reach out Love in a world of hate Where the unknown is feared And the lost are led astray   Come again Jesus Bring us Freedom so we can live Freedom to believe in your love of us To live your love for others To preach your love of the world   Come again Jesus Bring us Hope so we can create Hope for the world to come As the young reach beyond our pain To create the world they need   Come again Jesus Bring us Joy so we can celebrate Joy at the sight of rainbows The silence o f deep friendships The stillness of true prayer   Come again Jesus Bring us you.     Angela Coleman 17 December 2016
